shore of the bay of Malaga and behind the Sierra de Mijas. It is located at an altitude of 49 meters above sea level and 13 kilometers from the center of Malaga, the provincial capital. Sol, becoming one of the major references of musical and nightlife in Spain. Currently its busy nightlife, its <strong>gay-friendly<\/strong> and <strong>uninhibited character<\/strong>, as well as avant-garde, <strong>seventies and eighties<\/strong> reminiscent of the time of the Malaga Movida make Torremolinos one of the main different tourist destinations worldwide on the Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n<p>For several decades Torremolinos has established itself as the most important tourist destination in Andalusia, ranking ahead of cities such as Seville, Marbella or Roquetas de Mar, as well as being, together with Marbella, the two cities with the largest accommodation offer in Andalusia.<\/p>\n<p>It is especially visited by British, German, Irish, French, Scandinavian and Spanish tourists from other communities, also one of the largest British <strong>40 meters<\/strong> from the hotel, it is located in the traditional <strong>El Bajondillo<\/strong> neighborhood, south of the center and between <strong>Playamar beach<\/strong>, to the east and west, after <strong>Punta de Torremolinos<\/strong>. It is about 1,100 meters long and about 40 meters wide. <strong>El Bajondillo<\/strong> beach is the most frequented in the municipality, since the first is the one with the best access to the Center, it also has all kinds of services. In recent years the end of this beach has become a <strong>gay-friendly<\/strong> area after the opening of an <strong>LGTB<\/strong> beach bar.
